Should I contact Zameel? Who should contact Zameel?

Contact Zameel if you are a teenager or college student seeking support with an issue on our services page. DO NOT contact Zameel if you are experiencing immediate suicidal ideations (contact the National Suicide Hotline)

Is Zameel completely confidential and anonymous?

What if my call is not returned within 15 minutes during operating hours?

There may have been a technical error in receiving your call back phone number. Please call again and we will reach out to you promptly. If you need immediate support, please refer to our Resources Page.

Who will I be speaking to if I contact Zameel?

All Zameel peers are trained Muslim teenagers or young adults below the age of 25. Please note, peer mentors are not certified mental health professionals and will not be able to provide services as such.

What can I do if I need support outside of the operating hours?

If you are in need of support outside of Zameel’s normal operating hours, you can refer to our resources page for general support. For 24/7 support, call the National Lifeline at: 1-800-273-8255.

Does Zameel provide continued support or therapy?

Unfortunately, Zameel does not provide therapy or counseling services. There are many reputable Muslim organizations that do offer such services. A few are included here:
